A Night At Mill House Inn

East Hampton is one of my favorite places in the world. Like top 5. I love everything about it, if you have ever had the chance to visit you know exactly what I am talking about. The adorable village, with some of the best shops anywhere, the people, the food and most of all, the beaches. You feel like you are in a movie the whole time you are there. And what makes me love East Hampton even more is how much Pharrell and Rosie love it. I think it’s something in the air that makes them perk up, or maybe it’s the fact that the largest dog park in Long Island is just down the road, or the sand on their paws. Whatever it is, they lose it as soon as we turn the corner with the huge white house by the pond they know exactly whats about to happen.

When taking the pups out east, it is always a hassle to find somewhere to stay with them. That was until we came across The Mill House Inn! To say this place is straight out of a dog lovers dream is a huge understatement. It is just magical. Everything from the fact that you pull up to an East Hampton style home with huge windows, to the friendly greeting, to um the bath tub (don’t worry, Ill get there).

Mill House is located in the historical East Hampton Village right across from the famous Windmill. They have ten beautiful rooms and suites that have all the perks of a luxury boutique hotel, with all the love, intimacy and local joy of the best bed and breakfasts in the world. This place is literally your home in the Hamptons.

Let’s start with just with the walk into this dream and being greeted by the nicest people (I swear, they are from Dallas and just say they are New Yorkers). After you are checked in, you get the whole tour of the place! Along with the breakdown of the AMAZING snack bar that wait for it, is open ALL day and ALL night. It is full of homemade goodies, fresh fruit, specialty popcorn and ice cream, and the most amazing cheese plate I have ever had in my life. Side note, the in-house chef is a purely heaven sent. From the snacks to the bomb breakfast everything was to die for. After you get the lay of the land, fill up on some fresh cookies and seasonal lemonade, then you get to walk into your beautiful suit or room. I mean, just look at these photos.

Now let’s get to the pups! Pharrell and Rosie had the best time! The suites are the perfect size for the pups to run around and explore. They have dog beds in the rooms along with bowls and mats. They also provide a welcoming kit for the fu-kids, including whips, poop bags and of course homemade treats! For breakfast and dinner, to say Rosie and Pharrell ate like royalty is a total understatement. I even was so tempted to try the food. It was homemade turkey or lamb ,WARM, home cooked, smelled like heaven, human grade food. It was so nice to see how much they really care about their furry guest at Mill House. They even offer on call walkers and sitters if you want some puppy-free mommy time in the Hamptons. Wait, it even gets better. They map out all of the local pup-friendly restaurants, parks and beaches in the Hamptons for you!

To say that the staff, the venue and the whole experience at Mill House Inn was amazing, wouldn’t do it justice. We had the most amazing time, had the best FOOD from the awesome in-house chef (get the Montauk Lobster Frittata), explored the Hamptons with the pups, and slept like kings in that cloud of bed in our suite. If you are heading out east ANY time of the year with or without your fur-babies, please do yourself a huge favor and stay at Mill House Inn. You will be just as blown away as us.
