In NYC we “Brunch” – In the words of Gossip Girl “ Breakfast is brunch, and it comes with champagne, a dress code and a hundred of our closest friends” and if you are anything like me and my friends, our dogs are included in this. I mean what makes a better picture than you fur-baby looking at perfectly places avocado toast and a bloody Mary?
Almost everywhere in the city has a patio, and MOST of them are all okay with your dog joining you and your squad on a Saturday morning. I have pulled some of my fav places throughout the city that are 100% dog friendly! I hope this helps you out next weekend when you are looking to cure a hangover or just a catch up with your besties and can’t bear leaving your pup at home!
Not only can your pup come along to Barking Dog, there’s even a fountain especially for dogs! This is a very family friendly cafe style restaurant with good, reasonably priced food. Not far from Central Park either, so a good place to stop and fuel up!
Amazing views and a great place to sit and hang with your squad on the Upper West Side on a hot summer day and fill up on some cold drinks with your pup by your side! Really fun place for a group hang out in the city!
A more formal French restaurant on the Upper East Side. With amazing service and frequent celebrity sightings, this is a fun and elegant place to bring your dog.
One of my go-tos! Meatball Shop is by far one of my favs! All I really have to say is “Fool-Aid Punch”. All locations in the city have patios, where you and your pup can have lunch at this trendy NYC staple!
This is a amaze, down to earth spot to come eat on the Upper East Side that has delicious comfort food. The walls are covered in pictures of neighborhood dogs and there are even adoption applications for those of you who are looking for a new fur-child!
Located in Madison Square Garden, right next to the dog park. Don’t let the loooong line scare you, it moves fast and is so worth it! Serving up delicious, frothy milkshakes along side the burgers and those cheese fries! They also have a menu just for dogs with items like the Bag O’ Bones and Pooch-ini.
The Park is a little fancier than most of places. The patio area is beautiful with lit up trees and a cobblestone floor (perfect for pics). The food and drinks are amazing, especially the sangria. A little pricey but the atmosphere is worth it.
One of my absolutely favorite places in the city! First off, BYOB. This small west village treasure is the perfect place to get your french food fix, and you might spot a few celebs as well! Very low key, very small and always a wait, but ALWAYS worth it! They also love having pups add to their curb appeal!
I love Cafeteria, when I say best mac and cheese in the city i mean it!!! It is also a great place in the summer to sit outside with your pup on the streets of chelsea and talk about life with your gay bff!!
AMAZING food, doesn’t really do this place justice. A little bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny! This italian spot in the village, is a great location and close to Washington SQ park. Great patio out front, for you & your pup to enjoy some good old fashion NY people watching!
Calling all health nut: Make sure you go check out this spot in NoHo. Pups of all sizes are welcome to take in the affordable organic food with a ton of vegan options.
Von is a cozy spot in NoHo to bring the dog. It is affordable and there is dancing downstairs at night! A great place to come get a day drink with your pup then come back later with all your gals and dance all night to Ginuwine & all the best old school R&B!
This Meatpacking District spot, is amazing! Even though it is a little bit on the pricy side, it’s a great place to go enjoy the beautiful outdoor garden every now and then!
LOVE this place! It’s a very chic, high-end pizza join! Where you feel like you just stepped into Sex and the City with your pup by your side! It gets busy at night, so i would go early to ensure you can sit outside with your fur-baby or come for brunch!
Cornelia Street Cafe is an “Old New York” cafe/restaurant in the West Village. They provide great food, live music and poetry readings. A fun New place to check out with your pup!
Cipriani Downtown welcomes SoHo socialites, tourists, and sophisticates of all kinds. Also pups of all kinds are welcome to join you in the outdoor seating!
One of my FAVS! This organic, gluten free spot is AMAZING, right in the middle of West Village, it’s the best place to go get a post church brunch drink and catch up with your friends! They have tables outside for you and your pup & on weekends…… They play FRIENDS!!! They also have a location in BK!
As any good Texas girl, I know where ALL Tex-Mex places are in the city. And to say that Rio is one of my favs, is an understatement. The best queso, and by far the BEST margaritas outside of Dallas! The patio is huge, and they all your pup to join the fiesta!
What is better than chocolate and wine. How about being able to sit outside on a gorgeous day with you pup as you and besties crush that diet that know of yall really eery started. Also a great place for a date night (wink, wink)
Great american food, at the spacious, fun and popular spot, right next to the Highland and the Hudson River Dog Park! Pups are welcome all summer long!
I’m not a Brooklyn girl. But here are some pup-friendly spots to check out!
