I don’t think I’ve been so obsessed with a company before. Literally everything I’ve tried from Homescape Pets is my favorite! Lol. To sum it up, Homescape Pets has basically simplified natural wellness for us dog moms and made it super easy to give our dogs the best products possible. And they are extremely affordable!

They have calming relief with chamomile and hemp, joint support ranging from green lipped mussels and turmeric to broad spectrum hemp extract, air dried chews like tracheas, duck feet, pigs ears, and so much more! I have to be honest, I want to buy ALL of their chews in bulk! I love pairing them with Abbie and Gunner’s meals or when we leave the house so they have something to focus on!

Speaking of Abbie, she is doing soooo great on their CBD oil for pain relief! Y’all may already know, but she had elbow surgery that didn’t go the greatest (and she still has that shoulder tear we’re saving up for). This sweet girl is in pain every day and regular pain meds you get from the veterinarian are really hard on a dog’s organs. I am SO glad we found this company. I am forever indebted to them!!

In a nutshell, Homescape Pets offers air-dried, species appropriate, single ingredient chews and limited ingredient wellness products for adult and senior dogs (and cats). Good health isn’t complicated all thanks to them!

Okay, okay. Enough about my deep love and appreciation. I want y’all to meet Nana from Homescape Pets and get to know their company a little better!

I’m Nana of Homescape Pets. I started this business with my husband Marcus, after we lost our dog to cancer. We are intensely committed to providing natural wellness simply and easily. It doesn’t take a laundry list of ingredients to make a huge, positive difference in your pet’s life. 

How did you get started with your business?

When our sweet 12-year old schnauzer, Beau, was diagnosed with cancer, we began to learn about holistic options and natural supplements. We knew we couldn’t SAVE her life, but we could give her a better QUALITY of life for the time she had remaining. That jump started us into learning all we could about the most common health issues that older pets face, natural preventive options, and the benefits of feeding fresh food.

Tell us about your pet(s)! 

Beau was our first schnauzer. I adopted her from a high-kill shelter and she had been terribly abused. I worked hard to earn her trust and eventually, her love. When she met my future husband, she immediately trusted him. That let me know that he was a good guy. She’s the catalyst for our company. When you look at our logo, she’s the letter “O” in Homescape Pets. We wouldn’t have Homescape without her.

After we lost Beau in 2016, we adopted Quinn from a shelter here in Austin, TX. We think she’s a mix of Beagle-Shepherd-Hound, but we’re not sure. She’s 4-years old and so sweet and sensitive. Whenever anyone is upset, she wants to cuddle and soothe them.  She’s also a total daddy’s girl. 

We moved to Colorado in 2017 to learn about the hemp/CBD industry and I decided I was ready for another schnauzer. So we found a reputable breeder and brought Minnie-May home. She’s now 2 and she’s the happiest little girl. She’s super active, agile, and is the vigilant security guard of our home. If anything moves, she’s letting us know. Leaves blowing, a snowflake falling, she’s letting us know. Loudly.

What and who influences your work? 

My work is influenced by my dogs. And your dogs. They love us with such purity that giving them the very best life I can is the LEAST I can do each day.  They are our WHY. Otherwise, my mom influences my work. I’ve learned so much about work ethic, honesty, and being a good person from her. If everyday I choose to work hard, be honest, and most of all – BE GOOD and DO GOOD – I’m succeeding. That’s a direct reflection of the values she instilled in me.

What is/are your favorite pet brands and why?

We try to support small businesses as often as we can because we know how hard they work to create amazing products and support their families at the same time. In doing so, we’ve found some incredible brands that have become our faves. As an added bonus, our favorite brands just happen to be owned by women, which makes me VERY happy!

• Get Wagging (https://getwagging.com/) – They make collars with a cause. Super cute collars and each one is associated with a specific charitable organization. For example, they have collars that are for mental health awareness, saving the whales, saving the bees, and so on.  So when you buy, you’re also donating to these causes!  Did I mention how cute and trendy these collars are?!

• Threadz-N-Tails (https://threadzntails.com/) – We got custom-made winter-wear for our girls and they’ve been perfect for standing up to Colorado’s blistering cold winters. They fit snugly around the neck and legs to keep water and snow out. 

• Simply Sage (https://www.simplysagedogtreats.com/) – Chloe makes not only amazing paw and nose balms for our girls, but she also makes organic, limited ingredient cookies for dogs. Each flavor has a specific purpose and they’re so tasty! (Yes, we’ve eaten them ourselves)

2020 has been a female dog… What do you have planned for your company in 2021?

2021 is going to be exciting for a number of reasons. We’re launching a stronger, more potent CBD. It will be great for a wider-range of pets and multi-pet households. We’re also introducing new chews and treats. They’re so healthy and delicious. We can’t wait for your pet to try them! We’re also excited to be branching out into human CBD supplements for mobility. Both my husband and I were athletes and we’ve dealt with terrible joint pain and aches. Just like our products work for your pets, these will work for YOU.
