Am I considered a basic dog mom if I express my love for Bocce’s Bakery? No? Okay, good. Because even if you said yes, I would be okay with that! Bocce’s Bakery is one of our all time favorite dog bakeries!

I absolutely LOVE the story of how Bocce’s Bakery started (you can read more of that below!) and how someone’s pure love of dog happiness created this company. I like that they have so many quality products to choose from because that gives every dog a chance to find treats that are to their liking. And y’all… some of these treats smell good enough for HUMANS to eat! No joke!! I had a follower tell me that she has actually tried them!!! Safe for all, I guess you could say! Haha!

How did you get started with your business?

Andrea, started baking biscuits for her pup, Bocce, after she was told by his vet that he had gained a few extra pounds. She was disappointed looking at the long list of confusing ingredients in his food & treats – so she started baking her own biscuits for Bocce with all natural, 100% real food – right in her West Village apartment. Natalia, Andrea’s sister, jumped in to provide a helping hand and, together, they baked & baked and grew & grew.

From pedaling a biscuit bike around Manhattan, to becoming a vendor to our stockists (local, mom n’ pop, pet shops!), to baking Shake Shack’s famous ShackBurger biscuits – Bocce’s has baked up lots of yummy recipes… & treated even more pups! Our kitchens are now bigger, but our batches are still small and our ingredients still the best.

Tell us about your pet(s)! 

Bocce is a scruffy mutt (with a forever-wagging tail!) who celebrated his 13th birthday this year … but doesn’t act a day over 1! 😉

What and who influences your work?

The belief that dogs deserve better: better food with fresher, simpler, all-natural ingredients.

What is/are your favorite pet brands and why?

We have so many favorites – it’d be impossible to choose between our stockists!

2020 has been a female dog… What do you have planned for your company in 2021?

We’re always baking up something exciting … 2021 will be full of new flavors!
